On leaving school I went to Art College for four years, studying Graphic Design and lettering. I became a freelance commercial airbrush illustrator and lettering artist, and remained so for twenty years.

As computers became more sophisticated the commercial art business died. Not wanting to work with computers, I started engraving, something that had been a long time ambition.

I started my first gun for Holland and Holland in 1999.
